Authorities identified 24-year-old Samuel Krenik, from Lacey, as the victim who was killed following a single-vehicle accident on Tuesday in Olympia.
The fatal motorcycle crash took place at 9:10 a.m. in the 3700 block of Pacific Avenue near Lilly Road. According to the investigation reports, bystanders attempted to revive Krenik, but he succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The motorcyclist died of blunt force trauma to the head and torso.
Reports further added that Krenik’s motorcycle was lying on its right side and his helmet some distance away after the accident. The roadway was shut down for approximately four hours as crews worked at the scene. No further details were provided.
An investigation continues.
