A tragedy struck on eastbound Interstate 90 just west of the Snoqualmie Pass summit when a 23-year-old Lynnwood man lost his life. The fatal crash occurred shortly before 11 p.m. on Sunday.
An individual was lying on the road when he was struck by a passing car. He was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been disclosed at this time.
The Washington State Patrol initiated an investigation, prompting the closure of all eastbound lanes at 12:07 a.m. on Monday. State troopers worked to unravel the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate hit-and-run accident. After several hours, the lanes were reopened to traffic shortly before 4 a.m.
