The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office reported a motorcycle accident on Wednesday afternoon. The accident occurred in the 13000 block of Chiwawa Loop Road, between Lake Wenatchee and Fish Lake at around 2:30 p.m.
According to the officials, a motorcycle was involved in the accident. The motorcycle had been heading down the road when the driver lost control. This resulted in the vehicle leaving the roadway and crashing down the side.
The driver of the vehicle incurred major injuries and was airlifted to Confluence Health Hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The officials have since identified the victim to be 23-year-old Jesus Olivera, a Chalen County corrections deputy.
The fatal crash is still being investigated.
