A 23-year-old Grapevine man lost his life following a crash Wednesday on State Highway 114.
As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle accident took place on January 19. At 10:45 p.m., a man was driving near westbound SH-114 and Texan Trail when he saw a motorcycle on the grass. He stopped to check on the motorcycle rider and called 911 for help. The rider was unconscious and medics pronounced him dead at 10:58 p.m.
Officers noted skid marks on the road leading to the curb where the motorcycle had crashed, along with a downed highway sign. Investigators believe that speed contributed to the collision. The victim is a 23-year-old man from Grapevine. His identity will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
