A tragic collision on Tucson’s southeast side has claimed the life of a 21-year-old motorcyclist, identified as Nicholas Benjamin Kershaw. The incident occurred on March 6 at the intersection of East Valencia and South Palo Verde roads, as detailed by Tucson police in a news release.

Witnesses recounted that Kershaw was speeding west on Valencia, maneuvering past slower vehicles across all lanes, when he collided with a Mitsubishi Outlander turning onto Palo Verde. Despite efforts to save him, Kershaw succumbed to his injuries at the hospital days after the crash.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 74-year-old woman, escaped the collision unharmed. Tucson police continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
