A 16-year-old driver, identified in a police chase that culminated in a motorcycle accident in north Houston, faces multiple charges after a 19-year-old motorcyclist was killed. Houston Police Officers’ Union President Doug Griffith confirmed the driver’s age.

Police initiated a chase when they observed two drivers racing on I-45 and Gulf Bank. Despite officers’ attempts to stop the teen driver, the chase continued, reaching speeds of up to 100 mph. Exiting FM 1960, the teen ran a red light, causing a fatal crash with a motorcycle, resulting in the motorcyclist’s death.
