The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a motorcycle accident in Denton on Sunday morning. The accident occurred on Hilltop Road, near Tudor Lane just before 8 a.m.
According to the officials, a single vehicle was involved in the collision. A motorcycle was headed north on the road at a high speed. The driver lost control which caused the vehicle to skid off the road before crashing into a utility pole.
The driver was critically injured and was rushed to a local hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The officials have identified the victim as 19-year-old Colin Zerki.
The fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available.
