According to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, a fatal crash was reported on Friday in Lake Havasu City.

Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motorcycle accident.

Authorities stated that the collision occurred in the area of Standard Wash, east of Highway 95.

A dirt bike was traveling eastbound and a side by side was traveling westbound.

The vehicles struck each other head-on around a curve.

The rider of the dirt bike was identified as 18-year-old Kaden Abal.

Abal was transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center sustaining injuries, where he was later pronounced dead. 

Overspeeding was believed to be the cause of the wreck.

No other information pertaining to the accident has been revealed yet.

The crash continues to be investigated by the MCSO.
