The California Highway Patrol reported a motorcycle accident on Thursday. The accident occurred on Avacado Boulevard, north of Flambeau Place at around 7:30 p.m.
According to the officials, a motorcycle was traveling south on Avacado Boulevard when it lost control and crashed into an electrical utility box due to not being able to navigate a turn on the road.
The motorcycle rider incurred fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene before he could be taken to a hospital for treatment. The victim has since been identified as 17-year-old Mareo Nafia Oraha.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated by the officials. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
