Tragedy struck the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 in east Phoenix on Monday, claiming a life in a fatal crash. The crash occurred in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10, near 40th Street just before 2 p.m.
According to the officials, a man was hit by a vehicle. He was running in and around lanes of traffic. At one point in time, he even tried to get into another vehicle. Unfortunately, he was hit by a semi-truck.
The man was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is not yet known at this time. The Arizona Department of Public Safety is actively investigating the multi-vehicle accident. As of 2:30 p.m., three eastbound lanes remain closed due to the latest collision.
