A tragedy unfolded in Tempe on Friday night as a motorcyclist lost their life in a fatal crash near 52nd Street and University Drive. The motorcycle accident, occurring just before 9 p.m., prompted a swift response from officers and emergency crews.
The seriously injured motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital but sadly succumbed to their injuries. The identity of the victim is not yet known at this time. The officials have not reported if there were other vehicles involved in the collision.
As authorities investigate the crash, they are actively determining whether speed or impairment played a role in the tragic incident. The intersection was closed throughout the night, causing disruptions, but was reopened on Saturday morning.
