A tragedy unfolded near Orcutt on Wednesday evening as a motorcyclist lost their life in a harrowing multi-vehicle traffic collision. The collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 1 and Highway 135 just south of Orcutt around 9:20 p.m.
The motorcyclist, an unidentified male rider, had been struck by several vehicles, leading to the fatal crash. The man was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim is not yet known at this time.
The California Highway Patrol took immediate action by closing the affected stretch of roadway and initiating an investigation to understand the circumstances surrounding this fatal crash. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the motorcycle accident.
