Tragedy struck early Sunday morning in Desert View Village, near Cave Creek, as authorities reported a fatal motorcycle crash. According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the scene near 64th Street and Dixileta Drive around 4:40 a.m.

Upon arrival, fire personnel discovered the rider involved in the fatal crash deceased.

The motorcyclist was the sole individual involved in the incident. As investigations into the crash continue, the area will remain closed for several hours.

Authorities urge drivers to avoid the vicinity while detectives work to ascertain the circumstances leading up to the tragic motorcycle accident.
