A fatal crash in Stanislaus County claimed the life of a motorcyclist on Tuesday, as reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The victim, identified only as a man, was riding his 1992 Suzuki motorcycle westbound on Tenaya Drive, west of Mitchell Road in Modesto, around 3 p.m.
According to CHP, he crossed over a double yellow line to overtake a dark-colored coupe, colliding with a semi-truck heading eastbound on Tenaya Drive. The motorcycle accident caused the motorcyclist to fall onto the road. Despite being taken to the hospital for treatment, he was later pronounced dead by officials.
Authorities are investigating the incident, with uncertainty regarding the involvement of drugs or alcohol. The crash prompted the temporary closure of Tenaya Drive between Mitchell Road and Daly Avenue.
