The California Highway Patrol reported a motorcycle accident that took the life of a motorcyclist in Martinez on Sunday.
At around 2:03 a.m., on westbound State Highway 4, a motorcyclist crashed into debris near Pine Street. As a result, the motorcyclist was ejected from the vehicle and suffered deadly injuries. However, he was pronounced dead at the scene, said the authorities.
The identity of the motorcyclist is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
