According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a motorcycle accident occurred in Los Angeles on Monday.
The crash happened on Imperial Highway near San Pedro Street at around 12:30 a.m.
According to Officer Mike Lopez, a motorcycle traveling westbound collided with a railroad crossing sign.
The driver of the motorcycle suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The officials stated that the passenger on the motorcycle was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The Los Angeles Police are investigating whether drugs, alcohol, distracted driving, or speed played a factor in the crash.
