The Kent Police Department reported a motorcycle accident on Tuesday evening. The accident occurred on the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 at around 9 p.m.
According to the officials, several motorcycles were weaving in and out of traffic at a high speed. One of the drivers lost control of the motorcycle causing him to be ejected from the vehicle. The driver was then struck by another vehicle.
The victim was critically injured and rushed to Harborview Medical Center. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The identity of the victim is not yet known at this time.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
