In Carefree, a tragic crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck has claimed the life of a motorcyclist. The motorcycle accident occurred around 1 p.m. at the intersection of Cave Creek and Pima roads.
Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene and discovered that a man riding the motorcycle was critically injured. He was transported to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. His identity has not been disclosed at this time.
Authorities are actively searching for the pickup truck involved in the fatal crash, as it fled the scene before deputies arrived. The MCSO is investigating to determine the circumstances leading to the collision.
