A motorcyclist tragically lost their life in a collision with another vehicle in Gilbert. The motorcycle accident occurred on Sunday around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Ray and Higley roads.
Gilbert Fire and Rescue made several efforts to save the motorcyclist. Unfortunately, they were fatally injured and were pronounced dead in the fatal crash. The individual’s identity has not been disclosed pending further investigation.
Gilbert Police Department is actively examining the circumstances leading to the crash.
The driver of the other involved vehicle remained at the scene, and impairment does not seem to be a contributing factor.
Authorities have closed southbound Higley Road at Ray Road and northbound Higley Road at Galveston Street during the ongoing investigation. Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes.
