According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Saturday in Rio Vista. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motorcycle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred near the Highway 12 Junction on Highway 160. The method by which the wreck occurred is yet to be determined.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision. The identity of the deceased victim is not yet known at this time.
The cause of the accident is pending release. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
The collision resulted in major traffic delays in the area. The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
