1 person killed after a motorcycle crash in Travis County (Austin, TX)

On early Friday morning, one person was killed following a two-vehicle accident in west Travis County.

As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash was reported at 1:46 a.m. in the 8600-8841 block of West US 290 Highway, across South View Road and near Circle Drive. The early reports revealed that a motorcycle crashed into a vehicle for reasons that are yet to be known.

The motorcycle rider suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. Officials closed Highway 290 as crews worked at the scene. The road was back open a little before 7 a.m. No other details are immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
