The California Highway Patrol reported a motorcycle accident on Thursday.
The accident occurred on the transition road on northbound Interstate 5 to state Route 54 around 10:54 a.m.
According to the officials, a motorcyclist was traveling at a high speed when he lost control of his vehicle and fell off the overpass. He fell several feet below near trolley tracks.
The victim was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The identity of the victim has not been disclosed by the authorities.
The cause of the accident is still being investigated.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
