1 person injured following a motorcycle crash on the Garden Grove (22) Freeway (Garden Grove, CA)

One person sustained major injuries following a crash Sunday on the Garden Grove (22) Freeway in Garden Grove, authorities said Monday.

As per the initial information, the motorcycle accident was reported at 11:15 p.m. on the westbound Garden Grove Freeway at the Euclid Street off-ramp. Authorities actively responded to the scene and, on arrival, found the motorcyclist lying on the right shoulder. It was also reported that the motorcycle was blocking two left freeway lanes.

However, it was not known if the blocked lanes included the HOV lane. The Euclid Street off-ramp was briefly closed down so firefighters could attend to the injured motorcyclist. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear at this time. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
