On Thursday, one person was hospitalized following a two-vehicle accident in Parkland.
As per the initial information, the motorcycle crash was reported at about 11:07 a.m. at C Street South and Tule Lake Road South. The early reports showed that a motorcycle and a van were involved in the collision. When officers arrived, they learned that a driver stopped, pulled off his belt, and used it as a tourniquet to save the victim from losing blood.
The motorcycle rider was conscious when he was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Officers also thanked the Good Samaritan who stopped to help the man. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
