On Wednesday morning, a member of the Cy-Fair Fire Department suffered injuries following a two-vehicle collision in Cypress.
As per the initial information, the motorcycle crash took place on FM 529 and Westgreen Boulevard. The early reports showed that the man’s motorcycle crashed into a Jeep for undetermined reasons. The off-duty firefighter was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical, but stable condition.
He had injuries to his pelvic area and underwent surgery. Eddie Cruz, a spokesperson for the Cy-Fair Fire Department, reported that he is expected to have a full, albeit lengthy recovery. The victim was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The identity of the injured victim has not been revealed at this time. No further details were provided.
The incident remains under investigation.
