1 person hospitalized after a motorcycle crash in Duluth (Duluth, GA)

On Tuesday, one person suffered injuries following a DUI crash in Duluth.

As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the crash scene shortly before 8:30 p.m. in response to a motorcycle accident. On arrival, responders found an unconscious motorcyclist and they began rendering aid.

According to the witnesses, the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed before rear-ending a stopped vehicle. The 31-year-old motorcyclist was rushed to a local hospital with non-fatal injuries.  The incident did not lead to any other injuries. Authorities found out that the motorcyclist was under the influence of alcohol.

They charged them with Driving under the Influence of Alcohol (DUI), Reckless Driving, Driving without a Valid License, No Proof of Insurance, Improper Passing on the Left, Too Fast for Conditions, Driving within the Median, among others. No other details are available.

The crash remains under review.
