On Thursday night, one person was killed while another suffered injuries following a two-vehicle accident near Downtown Las Vegas.
As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash took place at the intersection of Stewart Avenue and 16th Street in which two motorcycles were involved. The early reports showed that the motorcyclists failed to negotiate the roadway and both crashed off the road.
One of the rider suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The other motorcyclist was rushed to a hospital with non-fatal injuries. According to the officials, speed might have contributed to the collision.
The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. Stewart Avenue and 16th Street were shut down as crews worked at the scene. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
