1 person dead after a motorcycle crash in East Bremerton (Bremerton, WA)

On Wednesday afternoon, one person was killed following a two-vehicle collision in East Bremerton.

As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash was reported at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Trenton Avenue and Helm Street. According to the investigation reports, the motorcycle was going northbound on Trenton at a high rate of speed.

For unknown reasons, the rider failed to maintain control and laid down the bike, sliding on the ground about 150 feet and into a truck. On arrival, emergency responders performed life-saving efforts on the victim. The motorcycle rider suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials.

The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. The road was shut down for multiple hours as crews worked at the scene. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
