On late Monday, one person suffered critical injuries following a single-vehicle accident in Lafayette.
As per the initial information, the motorcycle crash took place at about 8:30 p.m. on the intersection of Ridge Road and Rue Du Belier. On arrival, officers found a motorcycle where the driver rolled over the round-about at that location.
The rider was unresponsive and emergency responders performed life saving measures until paramedics arrived and rushed the motorcyclist to a local hospital in critical condition. The identity of the injured victim has not been revealed. No other details are immediately available.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
