Emergency crews had to cut the vehicle to rescue a female driver from her vehicle after an alleged alcohol-related rollover crash. The incident took place on the city’s Northwest Side on early Wednesday morning, SAPD said.

The wreck happened at around 12:30 p.m. near the Loop 1604 exit to Interstate 10 eastbound.

As per police, the woman in her 20s lost balance of her car, causing her vehicle to roll off the highway.

Afterwards, firefighters removed the woman from the vehicle, police said. Then, medics shifted the victim to University Hospital in stable condition.

SAPD believe that alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash. Moreover, charges are expected.
