On Saturday morning, a woman lost her life while Jacob Reed, from Iowa, suffered injuries following a rollover crash on Toothaker Road.
As per the initial information, the fatal single-vehicle accident took place near Hover Park. The early reports revealed that Reed was driving a 2004 Ford F250 recklessly near Hover Park. He was rotating the tires of his truck while racing back and forth on the roadway.
A woman hanging out with her friends got onto Reed’s truck near Hover Park. Reed left the park at a high speed towards South Meals Road. After that, the truck flipped into a nearby embankment. The woman succumbed to her injuries after the accident.
Jacob Reed was initially rushed to Trios Hospital but was later airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition. Reed and the woman were not buckled up at the time of the crash. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
