On Thursday, a female pedestrian lost her life after being hit by a vehicle on Interstate 5.
As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place at around 11:30 p.m. on the freeway’s northbound lanes near the Genesee Avenue exit. Officers got a report of the pedestrian walking on the freeway a few minutes before the accident happened.
An eyewitness informed the police that the pedestrian was walking against the traffic in a middle lane when she was struck. Authorities confirmed that the woman succumbed to her injuries after the accident. No other details are immediately available.
