Woman killed after a wreck in Augusta involving a four-wheeler (Augusta, GA)

A woman lost her life after a traffic collision Friday in Augusta.

As per the initial information, the fatal accident involving a four-wheeler was reported at 9:22 p.m. on Barton Chapel Road at Blossom Drive. The early report showed that a four-wheeler driver was heading on Barton Chapel when it was hit by a Dodge Challenger turning onto Barton Chapel from Blossom Drive.

Due to the impact, the four-wheeler was sent into the oncoming path of a deputy. She was declared dead at the scene. It is unknown if the incident caused any other injuries. No additional information is available.

The crash remains under review.
