A woman received injuries following a traffic accident Tuesday morning in Hesperia.
As per the initial information, the two-vehicle crash took place at 7:09 a.m. on Centennial Street and Arrowhead Lake Road. The early reports showed that a black 2003 Chevy Impala and a 1993 International F-4900 wide steel truck were involved in the collision. One person was pinned inside a vehicle following the wreck.
Emergency crews utilized the Jaws of Life to extricate the woman from the mangled vehicle. At 7:41 a.m., they successfully freed the woman. She was then taken via ground ambulance to Hesperia Airport where Mercy Air 22 airlifted her to an out-of-area trauma center. Officials asked drivers to find alternate routes due to road closures caused by the accident. No other details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
