On Monday night, a woman suffered injuries after getting run over by a pedal bar in downtown Detroit.

As per the initial information, the accident took place near Comerica Park, along Montcalm between Woodward and Brush. The early reports showed that the woman, believed to be in her mid-20s, became separated from The Michigan Pedaler, fell under it and got run down.

On arrival, emergency crews transported the victim to a hospital with unspecified injuries. Officials reported that the woman was alert as she was put into an ambulance. The woman’s condition was not known Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators talked to other riders who were on the pedal bar to get more details. According to the officials, the Michigan Pedaler is one of several pedal bar services that run downtown. Up to 15 riders bring their own drinks and ride around the city. No other details are made available.
