On Tuesday night, a woman was injured following a head-on collision on East Alvin Avenue.
As per the initial information, the two-vehicle accident took place shortly before 7:00 p.m. on East Alvin Avenue, between College Drive and Miller Street. Multiple agencies responded to the crash scene. The early reports showed that a pickup truck and a small Sedan were involved in the collision.
The female driver of the Sedan was rushed by an AMR ground ambulance to Marian Regional Medical Center with major injuries. A CalStar medical helicopter later airlifted her to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of trauma injuries. The identity of the woman has not been revealed at this time. No further details were provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
