A woman was hospitalized after a single-vehicle accident Monday in NW Houston.
As per the initial information, the fiery crash took place just before 10 p.m. on Mitchelldale Street in northwest Houston. The crews actively responded to the scene and, on arrival, found the vehicle engulfed in flames. The car was so close to the building that it then spread to a warehouse full of Styrofoam and construction materials.
The driver of the vehicle reportedly managed to get herself out of the vehicle. She was transported to the hospital as a precaution. Her current condition is unknown at this time. No hazardous materials were detected in the smoke or runoff by hazmat crews. It is also unclear what led to the crash. No other details are available.
The accident remains under investigation.
