The Redmond Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Tuesday early morning.
A pedestrian was hit by a car and killed in the collision at around 4:15 a.m. Police stated that the driver sped off.
The victim has been taken to the hospital with serious injuries. She died at the hospital later
According to police, the name and identity of the victim are not available at this time.
The cause of the accident is still being investigated. Whether drugs or alcohol were involved is yet to be found.
The authorities have not released a description of the vehicle involved at this time. While police investigate the fatal crash, Old Redmond Road is blocked in both directions between 143rd and 144th Avenues Northeast.
