The Washington State Patrol reported a motor vehicle crash on Friday night. A 26-year-old woman from White Swan, Washington was driving westbound I-90 with her three children at around 8:50 p.m. At MP 104, the car turned left off the road, crossed into an unincorporated median, rolled, and collided with a semi-truck.
The woman was ejected from her car and was discovered dead at the scene, according to Washington State Trooper Collin Cumaravel. She was not wearing a seatbelt. All three of the kids were discovered to be unharmed and to be using seat belts.
Melvin Morris, a 58-year-old semi-truck driver, was also unharmed. The identity of the deceased victim and her children have not been made public.
The fatal crash is being investigated by the police. I-90 was completely shut down for about four hours between exits 101 and 106.
