The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office reported a motor vehicle crash on Saturday afternoon in Buckeye. The accident happened close to Enterprise road and the old U.S 80 highway at around 5:15 p.m.
The collision involved two motorcycles. The events leading up to the crash have yet to be disclosed.
According to the MCSO, the man operating the second motorcycle didn’t require medical attention, while a woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The identities of both victims have not been reported at this time.
It is unknown if speed or intoxication played a role in the collision.
While MCSO investigates the fatal collision, the Old U.S. 80 highway will be closed between Woods Road and Desert Rose Road.
