Woman died following a two-car collision in north Austin (Austin, TX)

A woman died of her injuries following a two-vehicle accident that happened in north Austin on April 21.

As per the initial information, the fatal car accident took place at about 9:15 a.m. on Metric Boulevard and Cedar Bend Drive. The preliminary reports showed that the driver of a Kia Rio heading north on Metric Boulevard attempted to turn left onto Cedar Bend Drive and failed to yield.

Just then, the Kia was struck by a GMC Acadia, which caused the Kia to collide with a parked Volkswagen. The driver of the Kia was rushed to the hospital where she died of her injuries on April 24. It is unknown if the incident caused any other injuries. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
