On Monday, a woman lost her life after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 65.
As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian collision took place just before 6:30 a.m. on Highway 65 near Sunset Boulevard. The preliminary investigation showed that the woman ran across the highway for unknown reasons and got hit by a vehicle.
The driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No additional information has been released by the officials.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
