Two vehicles hit and killed 40-year-old Christopher Michael Lebleu in Calcasieu Parish (Lake Charles, LA)

40-year-old Christopher Michael Lebleu, a resident of Lake Charles, lost his life after being hit by two vehicles on Interstate 10 just west of LA Hwy 397 in Calcasieu Parish.

The fatal incident took place moments after 4:00 a.m. wherein two vehicles and a pedestrian were involved. According to preliminary reports, Lebleu was standing in a travel lane on I-10 when an eastbound pickup truck struck him. Lebleu was then hit by an 18-wheeler that was traveling behind the pickup truck.

On arrival, authorities declared Lebleu deceased. The drivers of the pickup truck and the 18-wheeler were both properly restrained at the time of the collision and did not suffer any injuries. Toxicology samples were obtained from the pedestrian and submitted for analysis.

The authorities will continue to investigate the accident.
