Two people received serious injuries following a head-on crash early Monday morning on I-10 south of Chandler.
As per the initial information, the two-vehicle accident took place on Interstate 10 near Riggs Road. The early reports showed that a car crossed the median of the roadway near milepost 170 and crashed head-on with another vehicle.
On arrival, paramedics rushed two people to a hospital in serious condition. The westbound lanes of Interstate 10 on the Gila River Indian Reservation have reopened near Riggs Road. The identities of the victims have not been revealed at this time. No other details are available.
The accident remains under investigation.
