The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle crash in Yuba City. The accident happened on southbound Highway 99 in Sutter County.
The collision involved two vehicles. One driver veered into the northbound lane and collided directly with another car.
According to CHP, both vehicles’ drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. There were no passengers in either car. Their identities are not yet known at this time.
It is unsure what caused the crash and how it happened. Whether drugs or alcohol were involved is yet to be found.
The momentarily closed southbound lanes have now been reopened. The fatal crash is still being investigated by the officials. Additional information regarding the deadly crash is not available currently.
