Two people dead following a fiery crash in Oceanside (Oceanside, CA)

On Saturday, two people lost their lives after a car they were in slammed into a light pole and caught fire on State Route 76.

As per the initial information, the authorities actively responded to the area at SR-76 and Airport Road after getting reports of a car crash at 2:13 a.m. Saturday. A Dodge SUV was the only vehicle involved in the collision. On arrival, officers find the SUV fully engulfed in flames.

Oceanside Fire Department crews responded to put out the fire and found two occupants in the vehicle dead. There were no witnesses to the crash. The identities of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.

The crash remains under review.
