Two juveniles lost their lives and another was hospitalized after a motor vehicle accident Tuesday in Phoenix.
As per the initial information, the fatal crash took place sometime before 2:30 p.m. near 35th Avenue and Thunderbird Road. The early reports indicated that a vehicle slammed into a wall. Police confirmed Tuesday evening that the two individuals who were killed in the collision were juveniles. The vehicle was badly damaged due to the crash.
The incident also resulted in downed power lines that led to a power outage in some areas. Officials believe that speed contributed to the crash. Crews implemented restrictions at the intersection as they worked at the scene. No other information is available.
The cause of the crash remains under review.
