Three teens crashed their speeding car into two fences and a Southwest Side home on Wednesday.
Authorities were called to a home in the 7100 block of Laurel Valley Drive, not far from Elm Valley Drive and Ray Ellison Boulevard after receiving reports of a car collision. As per reports, three teens between the ages of 13 and 17 years old were in a car speeding when the driver of the car lost control for an unidentified reason around Fern Valley Drive. The car then went through a chain link fence and then through a second fence just before slamming into the spare bedroom of a nearby home.
Police said that two people were inside the home at the time of the crash, but both remain uninjured. On arrival, paramedics transported the three teens in the damaged car to University Hospital with non-critical injuries. Authorities did not release the names of the youngsters at this time. Police did not expect to file any charges.
An investigation is ongoing.
