A crash at Moses Lake injured four people in their 20s. Emergency crew airlifted three of them to a hospital in Spokane on late Thursday night. A drunk driver ran a red light on Highway 17 in Moses Lake and smashed into another vehicle.
Evodio Morales-Reyes, 21, of Othello was southbound on Highway 17 in a 1990 Honda Civic when he disobeyed the traffic signal at East Nelson Road.
Afterwards, his Honda hit 22-year-old Vitalii Kuzhel’s 2012 Chevy Cruz of Moses Lake as Kuzhel was turning onto the highway.
Medics shifted Morales-Reyes, Kuzhel and a passenger in his car, 20-year-old David Vorobey of Moses Lake to Sacred Heart Hospital with critical injuries.
Also, emergency crews transferred Luis Rodriguez, 22, a passenger in Morales-Reyez’ Honda to hospital.
Furthermore, an 18-year-old passenger in Kuzhel’s vehicle did not suffer any injuries.
Finally, Morales-Reyes faces DUI charges and two counts of vehicular assault.
