Emergency crews lifted one person Monday afternoon after his water truck veered off the 14 Freeway and went down an embankment in an Agua Dulce crash, prompting a SIGAlert.
At about 2 p.m., an individual was stuck 100 feet down an embankment near Escondido Canyon Road after his water truck swerved off the 14 Freeway near Agua Dulce, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department officials. Crews safely rescued the affected person from the crash scene.
A SIGAlert was issued for the No. 3 and 4 lanes of the northbound 14 Freeway, which were closed down for at least one hour due to the accident, according to California Highway Patrol incident logs. Authorities have not provided any other details regarding the crash.
An investigation is ongoing.
